Montreal -PQ- February 24th,
2006. Before spending eleven dollars to see a boring blockbuster, consider
finding home-grown talent in your own neighbourhood... for free!
On Friday, March the 3rd,
2006, at 10pm, 2Shot
Productions, a
Montreal based, alternative production house will release its first film, The
Beautiful Burnout. The
premier will take place at Sha•ka CafŽ (5526 Sherbrooke St. West) amidst the tunes of Jeremy
Parkin, the sipping of cheap drinks and an informal Ňmeet-a-2Shot-memberÓ
session.
Not only will this be a fun
filled evening of film and music, but it will also serve as a means for this
upstart artist collective to show it means business by flexing its creative
muscle for the local scene and friends.
The
Beautiful Burnout is
an 8-minute film, produced in association with CUTV (Concordia University
Television) that depicts the surreal experience of an unapologetic slob. This
indulgent comedy develops an absurdist joie de vivre as the burnoutŐs dance
audition triggers a full-on visual assault. All that plus an outlandish, eclectic soundtrack make The
Beautiful Burnout a decadent sensory overload fit for the hyperactive or the clinically
depressed.
