CBC TVÕS FASHION FILE:

NEW LOOK, NEW FEELÉ NEW HOST!

 

 

CBCÕs Fashion File seeks (10) hopefuls to come to TorontoÕs CBC Broadcast Centre to compete for the position of the showÕs new Host!

 

Jigsaw Casting Ltd. is holding auditions for (10) final candidates to compete for the showÕs Host position. All will be tested on their knowledge of fashion as well as their reporting and interviewing skills. One by one, the candidates will be eliminated until only one remains. The last one standing secures the position as the showÕs new Host. During the competition in Toronto, all candidates will be provided with accommodation, ground travel and daily allowance. For those short-listed from outside Toronto, travel costs will be covered by the show. The competition will run from approximately Oct 16 to Nov 7/06. The winning contract is for (1) year, and pays accordingly.

 

THE JOB OF HOST INCLUDES:

 

á       Traveling the world covering fashion

á       Interviewing top Designers and Models

á       Writing a column in Fashion Magazine

 

 

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

 

NOTE: This is a Non-Union production.

 

á       18 years of age and older, male or female

á       Solid knowledge of the fashion industry and its trends, past and present

á       Reasonable knowledge of current events / pop culture

á       Writing skills for television and print

á       Writing and producing stories for television

á       Strong reporting and interviewing skills

á       Great voice, personable, approachable and with a sense of humour

NOTE: For all cities, Applicants must sign-in between 9:00am and 12:00pm. Auditions start at 10:00am. Everyone will be seen!

ADDITIONAL NOTES:

 

á       Applicants will be filmed during the casting process and will be required to sign a Usage Release

á       Within (2) minutes, applicants are to explain why they should be the showÕs new Host, and, as the new Host, what they have to offer towards the programmeÕs new look and feel

á       Applicants are required to bring to the audition both their rŽsumŽ and current photo

á       Audition wardrobe: Applicant to self-style, wearing whatever they deem appropriate

á       Applicants will not be compensated for the audition

á       Applicants are Canadian Citizens with a valid (Canadian) passport
