SUMMARY

Under the general supervision of the Ontario Centre Administrator (Toronto), provides support in research, pre-production, production and post-production; researches non-key creative talent and maintains data base of such; maintains and updates accounting records for each project or production in accordance with English Program and NFB standards; organizes, in accordance with the directives received, the logistical aspects of production and provides support to post-production activities; produces Personal Services and TEA contracts; liaises with Business Affairs, producers, co-producers, the production supervisor and the technical coordinator; performs other duties as requested.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

College diploma in Business Administration or Office Systems Technology plus at least three years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Good knowledge of the different steps involved in the production of films and videos, including pre-production, production and post-production. Good knowledge of the Ontario film industry.  Good understanding of the differences between film genres (documentary, drama, animation) so as to be able to adequately determine user needs. Good knowledge of the different types of equipment and technical services required for shooting and finishing a film. Good knowledge of basic accounting principles and familiarity with computerized financial systems.  Knowledge of legal terminology used in contracts.  Ability to set priorities, along with a demonstrated concern for meeting deadlines. Recognized for tact and courtesy in dealing with colleagues and clients. Suitable personal qualities such as judgment, initiative, autonomy, tact, good organizational skills and sense of responsibility. Knowledge of the Oracle system would be an asset.
